Columbia Threadneedle Prize 2016

Visitors' Choice Award

The photorealist painter, BEN JOHNSON, has won the £10,000 Visitors Choice Award for his striking large-scale painting, 'Room of the Revolutionary'.

The award was presented by Director of Mall Galleries, Lewis McNaught, at a special Awards event, attended by many of the artists featured in the Threadneedle Prize 2014. After thousands of visitors had cast their vote, only six votes divided first and third places.

Runners up were JAMES BLAND for his oil painting, 'The Ghost' and KIM MEREDEW for his marble and stone installation 'Beckett and Bernini'.
