Winner of the £25,000 Threadneedle Prize is announced
Patricia Cain has been awarded this year’s £25,000 Threadneedle Prize and artist duo Boyd & Evans have won the inaugural £10,000 Visitors’ Choice award.

The £25,000 Threadneedle Prize 2010 shortlist is announced
Seven artists have been shortlisted to win The £25,000 Threadneedle Prize and the £10,000 Visitors' Choice. Three highly respected art experts have selected the 7 shortlisted works from more than 2,100 entries submitted through open competition.

Threadneedle Awards Artists
Threadneedle has committed a further £10,000 in 2010 to its sponsorship of leading art award The Threadneedle Prize against a backdrop of budget cuts across the arts. The new prize, the £10,000 Visitors' Choice, will be awarded in addition to the exiting £25,000 Threadneedle Prize, one of the biggest prizes for a single work of art in the UK.
